Custom PL mount for the Angenieux 25-250mm
Restoration and PL conversion of an Angenieux 25-250mm Type B zoom — a historic lens brought back into working condition for modern sets.
This Angénieux got a full 360° overhaul: from a complete mechanical clean to repainting the markings on every ring, through to redesigning key components.
The PL mount was designed from scratch and prototyped in house, then made in SUS 304 stainless steel for precise tolerances and long-term durability. The focus, iris and zoom rings were drawn and printed in carbon-fibre reinforced PAHT, a high-performance technical material that is lighter, stiffer and more heat-resistant than standard polymers.
The result is a lens returned to full working order, with mechanical components built for the demands of a film set.
